Seminar on safety oversight activities in Haïti
The project to build a safety oversight authority in Haiti, initiated in 2015, continues with French supervisory authority experts (DSAC). Over the past three years, nearly 20 experts have been involved in this partnership to establish, structure and operate an aviation safety oversight authority in the country, following recommendations made by the ICAO.
On the 3 years anniversary of the project, after completion a 12 weeks theoretical training for OFNAC safety oversight inspectors in all technical domains have just been completed, DSNA Services and DSAC have brought the project team together for a strategic seminar in Paris on February 7th and 8th.
This seminar allowed to make a point of situation after with the meeting held in Mexico City on Haiti corrective action plan with the ICAO Regional Office in January.
It also provided the team with the opportunity to give a feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of our international projects, with the presence of DSAC Director , Mr. Patrick CIPRIANI, its office director Ms. Naïma COBO, DSNA Services Director Mr. Farid ZIZI, and our Project Manager since August 2015, Mr. Olivier VUILLEMIN.
Based on this experience in Haiti and the adjustments stemming from the seminar’s conclusions, DSNA Services now holds the cards to consolidate its approach of Safety Oversight domain. Thus, DSNA Services will be able to create better adapted and effective offer, aligned with the ICAO objectives to help States to comply with the standards of this Organization.
