Cooperation with Taiwan despite confinement
Last March, a few days before the implementation of confinement measures in France and other regions of the world, France Aviation Civile Services signed a contract with the National Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
This contract is part of the project for the acquisition of surface radars and ADS-B antennas by the Taiwanese air navigation service provider. The objective is therefore to support this Institute in the development of market studies, in the drafting of technical specifications and in the preparation of the deployment plan for these two types of equipment.
These documents will thus enable the air navigation service provider, thanks to the experience of the two experts called in by France Aviation Civile Services, to prepare the tender documents that will be published for the acquisition of the surface radars and ADS-B antennas as well as possible.
An on-site mission should have been organized last April to hold working meetings with the Institute and to visit some of the sites. Due to the health crisis and the travel ban, France Aviation Civile Services was able to adapt and maintain a close remote relationship with the client using its remote working facilities and by, in particular, increasing the number of exchanges to gather all the information needed to prepare the various deliverables.
Even at a distance, a relationship of trust was established between the client and France Aviation Civile Services, which fully met the terms of the contract signed by both parties.
This experience has enabled France Aviation Civile Services to test and improve the collaborative work tools set up before the COVID 19 crisis and to be able to offer remote services for future projects.
