Innovative Solutions

ELVIRA®

Do you need to enhance your safety management system and your environmental performance?

OUR APPROACH

ELVIRA® is an automated tool, developed and used by DSNA (the French ANSP) for three main applications: safety management, technical assessment and environmental assessment.

This playback tool combines the radar sequences with the communication with the pilot to provide you with the entire view of the situation. You can also add maps or vector charts, create statistics and analyse an area.

These different functionalities allow you to perform:

  • Interrupted approach detection;
  • Runway incursion detection;
  • Aircraft counting;
  • A-SMGCS assessment;
  • Equipment control;
  • Environmental studies;
  • Environmental protection volume (EPV) design

This tool is designed by an ANSP, for ANSPs, with continuous updates. Today, ELVIRA® is used worldwide and is continuously updated to meet your needs and help you to answer your challenges.

Operational Training

ATC Supervisor

Do you need to train your Air Traffic Control Supervisors in their new responsibilities or daily activities?

ATC Supervisor

© Sylvain CAMBON / DGAC – France Aviation Civile Services

OUR APPROACH

ATC Supervisor is a training programme proposed jointly by France Aviation Civile Services and ENAC, the French Civil Aviation Academy.
For a fair balance between theory and practical case studies, we propose training courses delivered by two instructors: an ENAC expert and an operational ATC Supervisor working for France Aviation Civile Services, the French ANSP.

Three levels are proposed (Initial, Refresher, Advanced) to provide senior Air Traffic Controllers with relevant guidelines that will help them succeed as Air Traffic Control Supervisors.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

We have successfully trained over one hundred of ATC Supervisors through customised programmes in Indonesia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and Saudi Arabia.

“The ATC Supervisor training is a success due to the perfect balance between the pedagogical experience of the ENAC and the high-level operational experts from France Aviation Civile Services (ex DSNA Services).”

Dieudoné Mayaya, Deputy Director, Kinshasa-Ndjili International Airport

Let us show you how we can train your next ATC Supervisors.

PAPI Calibration with a Drone

CALIBRATION

You need to calibrate your PAPI set. FRance Aviation Civile Services proposes an innovative method: THE DRONE!!!

OUR APPROACH

FRACS experts undergoing calibration PAPI

© FRACS experts undergoing calibration PAPI

This method called “CAVOC” has been developed by DSNA/DTI, in collaboration with the Air Force and has been approved in 2021 by the STAC.

The method used by FRACS distinguishes from the competitors thanks to the use of a light and easy-to-use drone. An expert, a suitcase and FRACS can come and calibrate your PAPI sets!

Our simple and easily reproducible technique offers undeniable advantages in terms of speed of implementation, runway occupation time (1 hour per PAPI set), accuracy and impact on airport activity compared to the nacelle method or flight control.

The method is rather simple, it is based on an automatic detection of the colorimetric transition in real time, by image processing algorithms. This process allows a real time adjustment of the PAPI.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

© FRACS drone:  Mavic DJI Entreprise + RTK

Since 2019, this method has been tested on military airfields and some civil airports (Castres and Toulouse Francazal) and has entered in its commercial operation phase since July 2022.

Thanks to the numerous advantages of this innovative technique, two airports have already used our services (Libourne and Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées).
